We are an ever expanding creative process. Human consciousness has awakened enormous possibilities and these are the merest hint of a shadow of what can be. We are born with an instinct for more. No matter what we obtain the question is always: what's next?
The possibilities will always remain vastly beyond what is. Yet the only thing that ever exists is the moment and it is always enough. A soft touch, a gentle breeze, a passionate kiss these are the only realities. Being in the moment, simply being, letting go of the noise and touching eternity through one particular experience is all there is and it is always enough.
The possibilities always surpass what is so we must be both realities. Continually striving leads nowhere no matter how much it seems to accomplish. For there is no ultimate goal, final enlightenment or perfect being. There is only the ever expanding evolution of possibilities. Those possibilities are only realized in moments of being.
We live in a staccato world dominated by thinking. Our culture seeks the solution, the ideal, the ultimate, the perfect, the true. So we have a culture of ideals, idols and heroes. As long as we are looking for an end point (enough money, the perfect lover, spiritual enlightenment, the power of being CEO) we are dooming ourselves to never enough. Life is not about end points, it is about being.
A book that expands on this theme.
